Good morning, Delphi. Are you a god, yet? Do you believe you will become a god?

Do you believe your tithes will earn you a position? Does your good works get you extra credits?

Let me quote Paul, a converted Jewish scholar...

Rom. 4: 1What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather, discovered in this matter? 2If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about—but not before God. 3What does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."[a]

Rom 9: 4Now when a man works, his wages are not credited to him as a gift, but as an obligation. 5However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.

30What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, a righteousness that is by faith; 31but Israel, who pursued a law of righteousness, has not attained it. 32Why not? Because they pursued it not by faith but as if it were by works. They stumbled over the "stumbling stone." 33As it is written:

"See, I lay in Zion a stone that causes men to stumble

and a rock that makes them fall, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame."

Eph:1As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our sinful nature[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature objects of wrath. 4But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Your attempts to be offensive are noted, and chuckled at.

I, like you, are a child of God. If you or I are faithful enough, we will become Co-Heirs with Christ. Rom. 8: 17
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
I am a child of God and he has sent me here.... It's a primary song in my church, you seem to know less of our doctrines than they do.

Works = extra credits? I can't even figure out how that applies to our doctrine.

Tithes don't earn me anything, it's a commandment see: Mal. 3:8 - 10.

U Said: Let me quote Paul, a converted Jewish scholar...

Great stuff, but it still doesn't negate James 2: 14 - 26, they are both scripture, you need faith and Works, we say Both, many say we are saying just works and that's just wrong, there are also people who want to pick and choose which parts of the Bible apply to them, and that's not right either, either the Bible is scripture, or it's not.

Again, have a great day and pray more, you can't go wrong by praying more to God.
