How is it that you have the gall to call fLDS a "cult" but your fellow Mormons--and perhaps you--don't like it when other Mormons are labeled a "cult?" (Isn't that a double standard?)
Ahem, since these plural wives were not recognized by the state, one of the things undercovered so far is the amount of WELFARE the colony was receiving because of these children. The term used was "bleeding the beast". So you are defending the sexual abuse of these young girls? So you are supporting the explitation of these children by the fLDS leadership.

So I guess you had the time to engage in all this "hating" as you call it the last week of March and earlier that day, but supposedly in reality you're above all that 'cause "Life is too short to waste it hating"
Since you portray yourself as one who, personal standard wise, is "more concerned with trying to live the way I understand God wants me to live, and to help and serve others as best I can." then may I suggest you pursue that course and not get "sidetracked" in either opposing others (since that might take you away from your personal standard) or in delighting in the downfalls of Christian pastors, Catholic priests, and the closures of Canadian Christian ministries as an occasional hobby?
You can't say one thing, and then by your actions betray what you said. After all, your very first citation on your home page is Matthew 5:48...Be ye perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect. You know, that verse isn't "gas" ya know. And Mt 5:48 doesn't say, "Become perfect..." it says "Be perfect..."
Are you perfect? Since the LDS "prophets" say you're a "god" (Ps. 82) or "god-in-embryo," wanna explain how it's possible to be an imperfect god?

The way of going about proving what was going on at the compound is to do it LEGALLY, in a constitutionally sound way.
I have had some experience in trying to prove these types of allegations and I know how difficult it is to prove, but failing to follow all the rules only does more damage in the long run to the very people that you are trying to protect, AND the perpetrators get off with nothing more than the hassle of the accusations.
The authorities could have used every legal means of entering that compound and made their presence a common occurrence. They could have used fire inspections, health dept inspections, department of education visits. They could have questioned the innoculation records and things like that, that would have required signatures of the parents. There is so much that the authorities could have done that would at least have deterred any violence against the children, because it would have lessened their isolation.
Ya gotta have priorities!

of looking at the numbers 30, 38, 48 and asserting that the deaths have gone up 60% ... take the per capita and redo your statistical fib to reflect what percentage of children taken into the foster care program die per year, and be sure to--to be honest, which I doubt you intended anyway--subtract the number who died in a given year from the total increase in number still in foster care, summing the number of children in foster care each year then taking the deaths as a percentage of children in foster care. Your deceit becomes obvious when the statistics are applied properly, but hey, you got away with it for a while, and not one person at FR approves of even one child killed while in foster care regardless of whether the foster parents did it or thedeath is by 'other' circumstances which you conveniently leave out for impacts sake.

You are right about the siphoning off of the funds, from what I have read. That is, I believe, a civil case between the Fund, and Jeffs. As it should be.

No. This case is about finding the source of the illegal sex with a minor, which I would almost be sure is limited to inner circle, maybe as low as just one provable case.
Our society has been tolerant of polygamy, and even the ‘child-bride’ concept, as long as the ‘child’ is really of legal age in the state of marriage. But not if they are under legal age, and not a legal marriage, and against the will of the ‘child’.
If there is some other form of child abuse going on as well, such as ‘breaking the baby’, then that may involve a much larger group of FLDS members. Proof that the breaking thing causes harm to the baby, may be hard to prove legally, when there is an acceptable reason for the spread of retardation among such a limited breeding population.
