Actually you need a sedimentologist. Limestone is a sedimentary rock which can become Marble during metamorphism which involves changes in heat and/or pressure and/or introduction of fluids without melting

Limestone is easy to identify. It’s the igneous rock that could be mistaken for a synthetic polymict breccia, so my original comment stands.
