The $200,000 bail set for a woman charged with causing a school bus crash that killed four children in Lyon County will stand.
On Tuesday, Lyon County District Judge David Peterson denied a defense motion to reduce the bail amount in the case of 24-year-old Olga Marina Franco del Cid.
She is charged with criminal vehicular homicide following the bus crash that killed four students from the Lakeview School District on February 19th.
Franco's attorney, Manuel Guerrero, argued that another judge did not consider all the facts in the case when he set the bail amount.
Lyon County Attorney Rick Maes countered that Franco had lied during the investigation, and is considered a flight risk.

Muchas gracias, Jorge.
The president and congress should be required to attend each and every funeral of those killed by illegals.
Its an outrage.
Her attorney we’re paying for here in MN is trying to claim she wasn’t driving(even though the cops had extricate her from behind the wheel)
I guess we still haven’t located the mystery boyfriend who was “actually driving” the van....who then wedged Olga into the driver’s seat so tightly that she had to be cut out of the vehicle. And then ran off.
Nice new expensive truck there, huh.
It’s all part of a greater plan, Jorge has the country’s best interests in mind /s
so are all the ones I drive past that are double parked in front of the welfare office in St.Paul on the way to work every day.
The guy that drove that truck is a very valuable eye witness....
Reduce the bail and the bitch will run for the border. Her live in illegal has already hit the road..
Was the criminal “at large” already (Before killing those kids) drunk?
I guess the judge has figured out that illegal alien equals flight risk.
That has not yet been determined.
Look closely. You’ll discover many of the license plates are from Illinois.
Why would any illegal be given bail? They should all be considered flight risks. They broke the law to come here they have no problem breaking it again to leave.
Well, you gotta like the judge in this one...
I think $200K is too LOW!
Since illegals are the poster children for ‘fleeing’ they should absolutely all be held without bail.....period.
Ping!
