Our nukes are H-bombs, and their use would be unprecedented, not only in category, but in their scope of destruction. I really don’t understand how Iran thinks it can back us down with a couple of 1 1/2 inchers. I guess that’s the whole problem. We don’t want to have to show them.

Nuclear weapons are going to end up exploding here as well, if we allow the world to further destabilize.

That's how I see it, as well.

Hmmm....

Think positive, like Reagan, you know in that pile of Horse$&!+ there must be a Pony somewhere.

Ok, we are working on Missile Defense.

Israel is an alley we share our military technology with and they make it better to the tune of $1.40 return for every $1.00 we give them.

Hmmm... The next logical question I'll let you deduce.

With that in mind let us move along.....

That would require boots on the ground and is impractical now and in the forseeable future. More practical would be to destroy their navy, air force, ports, refinery and nuclear facilities. Ruin their economy, institute a real propaganda effort (including destroying Al Jeseerah (sp?) and the young people of Iran would over-throw their own government, including the clerics.

This whole thing is a macabre replay of WWII all over again. The Great Powers refuse to act to stop a threat from pissant nutjobs, even when they can take decisive action with relative ease. This is due to a combination of inertia and a desire not to appear heavy handed. As a result, they make concessions for peace and the threat grows stronger and becomes ever harder to contain. Meanwhile, useful idiots in the political and MSM classes claim that the nutjobs don’t really mean what they say—they can be negotiated with and mollified. Evenutally, after numerous concessions, the nutjobs do exactly what they say said they would do, except now (thanks to cowardice and apathy), they have the means to do it. The result is slaughter and destruction inflicted on a massive scale worldwide.

When you try to get peace at any price with nutjobs, you get the opposite. Do people learn anything?

Well, when the Brits and French appeased Hitler, it took some 50,000,000 deaths to get across the point appeasement does not work. So, the above figures look like the next price to be paid for the Liberal Democrats and Jhimmy Carter's brilliance in foreign affairs!

Yep, no one should forget the reason we have the current radical islam movement is because Jimma Carter betrayed the Shah of Iran and let the whole thing fall apart.
