After a gay co-worker died of cancer (colon), I was debated by friends of his about my "intolerant" stand about homosexuality because I pointed out these facts. When I looked them in the eye and told them they weren't being very "tolerant" of my views (especially since they were established facts), they got that "deer in the headlight" look and left. They are tolerant when their views are accepted, and anyone who disagrees in intolerant.

This is why they have to recruit our children, as they are dying out at an alarming rate, and dying badly...

In 1985 I was working at PacBell in San Diego and was diagnosed with cancer in July. One of the gay clerks in the San Francisco office had been complaining of being sick and having lots of "night sweats". He was feeling so bad that his former Catholic priest order took him in to convalesce. He died in September. In retrospect, we recognize the illness was AIDS. It didn't have a common name at the time. I had surgery in August. I wasn't aware of the possibility of HIV tainted blood at the time. Fortunately, I didn't end up an unwitting victim of the lack of awareness in the medical community.

The death of Joseph (the clerk) hit everyone in the San Francisco office pretty hard. Once they comprehended the origin of the problem, the potential impact of having large numbers of gay employees was understood. That's when the political correctness edicts and soft peddling of the possibility of passing HIV got started. Thankfully, I left PacBell in 1991 before any of the other gay staff were added to the AIDS death toll.

I have seldom met the liberal who was tolerant on anyone other than fellow liberals.

It would be as if a Republican walked around proud of being "tolerant" of gun owners. What a hoot.

It's hard to listen to their stuff without laughing - they're unaware of how silly their positions are outside their group-think circle.
