Remember how you used to cavalierly ignore those Keep of the Grass Signs in your un-enlightened youth?
Well, you brutal, uncaring, beast.
For it has finally been announcedfrom Europe, naturally, from the Swiss government-appointed Federal Ethics Committee on Non-Human Biotechnologythat plants have feelings too.
They have authoritatively stated that ...

never heard of a weeping willow
So does this mean European vegetarians are going to starve to death?
I just yelled at all my plants.
They look OK, but the dog seems a little nervous.
I thought "Keep of the Grass" was some British term I didn't understand.
I thought “Keep of the Grass” was an anti-marijuana slogan.
If plants have feelings, why do the $@_@#(*&@*(&*%^$% weeds keep coming back for more abuse?
Grass is sentient? Who knew?
How soon until some soft-hearted (or soft-headed) soul demands full civil rights for grass?
Sure, accord the individual stems of grass the right to vote. Then see how long this “carbon dioxide sequestration” policy will last.

Damn, this thread spoiled the carrot I was munching on. The poor thing, I didn’t know.
ROFLMAO!!! That's too good. Best joke I've heard in a long time. :)
So, if I mow the lawn, am I killing all the grass?
Should I be hearing screams?
I think this is just going to go to pot!
Well this explains “The Attack of the Killer Tomatoes”. If tomatoes have such a violent nature what are the psychological characteristics of the other plants? I have some idea about corn (see: Children of the Corn) but I need to know about the rest so that when I interact I can be empathetic.
Nothing new, 36 years ago I had clippings of articles about scientists showing that plants have feelings.
I liked to see the reactions from my fellow soldiers when I would show them the articles.
