Perhaps the bribery conviction of Former Gov. Don Siegelman (AL-DEM) was a miscarriage of justice; he has appealed. But...claiming Karl Rove had a role only serves to obfuscate the matter with misdirection. Usually, misdirection is a practice of the guilty.

That's just an unnecessary partisan slander.

whether 'he lies under oath, tells the truth or pleads the Fifth.'

Usually, misdirection is a practice of the guilty.

And, usually, Siegelman is guilty.

Of whatever he's been accused of doing...

"Former Gov. Don Siegelman said Thursday that he wants former White House adviser Karl Rove to testify before Congress, whether 'he lies under oath, tells the truth or pleads the Fifth.'"

Yeah...and I want (crook) Seigelman to explain if he still beats his wife or not. Thieving SOB belongs in prison.

For Dems it is never about what you did wrong, but more why and how you got caught.

Is it legal for a governor to set up a lobby?

Siegelman is just throwing Rove’s name out there as a “dog whistle”, hoping the nutroots and their friends in DC (Conyers et al) and the media (Olbermann, Abrams) will hear the signal and come to his aid. And why wouldn’t they? After all, they all believe Rove is guilty of... well, pretty much everything really. Why wouldn’t they believe he’s responsible for Siegelman’s “wrongful” conviction as well?

Siegelman could steal a dollar from his mother's own pocket and get her blamed for it....

and probably would.
