Barack Obama seemed puzzled. Angrily puzzled. The apostle of hope seemed flummoxed by the audacity of the question. At the April 16 Philadelphia debate, George Stephanopoulos, longtime aide to Democratic politicians, was asking about his longtime association with Weather Underground bomber William Ayers.
The Weather Underground attacked the Pentagon, the Capitol and other public buildings; Ayers was quoted in The New York Times on Sept. 11, 2001, as saying, I dont regret setting bombs; I feel we didnt do enough.
It was at Ayers house that Obamas state Senate candidacy was launched in 1995; Obama continued to serve on a nonprofit board with Ayers after the Times article appeared.

"Yes, and threats of armed revolution if they don't win this year." BRING IT ON, I say. I'm ready, I'm old and I don't give a damn anymore!

"She said all that is irrelevant; a man's character is composed of his plan for healthcare and the economy, it has nothing to do with his friends."
WE are so royally SCREWED!! This is the majority of American's thinking! Watch the youth come out in record numbers to vote for this anti-American demon! DON'T FOOL YOURSELVES that the youth vote won't come out on election day. My son tells me that their is a tidal wave of youth voters that are so high on OSAMA they can't wait to vote for him. In essence...WE ARE SCREWED! Mitt Rommeny would have been a better candidate as far as youthful and appealing. We're screwed!

I dont know how Nixon could have been reelected. No one I know voted for him. - New York Times film critic Pauline Kael.In a similar vein, I have yet to meet a WWII German vet who fought the Americans - they all fought the Russians.
As for Nixon, this Republican didn't vote for him because his aides spooked me - I could see the incipient swastika bands on their arms.

Calm down now.. We are screwed, but not because the young people will show up in droves..they won't show up in numbers that will sway the election in key states. Youth vote is just not a reliable vote, by November they'll be bored of all this and have moved on to some new fad. Older adults & seniors vote the most, and they are going to vote for McCain. SO yeah were screwed, but not because Obama’s going to win.

Maybe we won't be screwed come November. If we get President Obama and a veto-proof Democratic Congress, then we are well and truly screwed.
But the adult vote may be so wary of Obama by election day that they may vote for McCain for safety. We need to educate the yoots about Obama.

I have yet to meet a WWII German vet who fought the AmericansI knew a German WWII vet who fought in the Battle of the Bulge, and I introduced him to a US vet who fought in the same engagement.
They were 16 and 19 respectively at the time of combat.
But your observation is generally true - a bit suspicious since the number of Germans who fought Americans and survived the early postwar period was probably much larger than the Eastern front ones.

The real scandal is that Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorn are very well accepted in Chicago. And landed such boffo teaching positions at state funded universities. I believe mayor Richard Daley has praised Bill Ayers
I remember Ayers and Dorn from 40 years ago and 5 years ago was shocked to discover they are both professors
