New Home-Buying Plan May Bolster Abbas (W CONTINUES TO PANDER TO TERRORIST WITH MORE $$$ AID)

RAMALLAH, West Bank — The Palestinian West Bank, besieged by Israeli occupation, political division and weak leadership, got a boost on Monday: the announcement of a plan, led by the American government, to help tens of thousands of people buy homes.

The plan, which establishes a $500 million mortgage company, aims to build 10 new neighborhoods over the next five years and, in the process, create thousands of jobs in construction and real estate. In doing so, it could improve the depressed local economy and the political prospects of the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, of the relatively pro-West Fatah party.

”Tony Blair, left, with the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, on Monday at the announcement of a home loan plan."

Half of the money for the new mortgage company, $250 million, will come from the United States through the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. The rest will be from the Palestine Investment Fund, the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank and the Bank of Palestine, with a smaller contribution from the British government. ”Mr. Abbas, who has been engaged in peace talks with Israel’s prime minister, Ehud Olmert, will be in Washington next week to see President Bush, who hopes to have a Palestinian-Israeli peace outline before his term ends.”

At a ceremony in Ramallah, Tony Blair, the former British prime minister who is representing the international community in helping the Palestinian Authority build institutions, called the plan “a major step forward for ordinary Palestinians.”

This is the second major international initiative of its kind in the West Bank. Last summer, $230 million was pledged for a similar program for small- and medium-size businesses in the area.

Now I know why Blair and Bush were/are such good friends. The appear to be on the same page as far as appeasing terrorist Mooslims, all the while, waging a War on Terror, yet refusing to admit and condemn the root of all terrorism, Islamofacism, and seem to support certain factions thereof.

Notice the New York “Slime’s” choice of words “besieged by Israeli occupation.”

I’m taking bets right now that Bush will NOT be tough on Abas, nor hold his feet to the fire with regards to any concession, much less, try and get him to accept publicly, Israel’s right to exist.

For the record, just a few quotes from Abas, this “moderate” Moozie:

” On recognizing Israel:” It is not required of Hamas, or of Fatah, or of the Popular Front to recognize Israel” (Al-Arabiya [Dubai] and PA TV, October 3, 2006).

” Fighting Israel: “We have a legitimate right to direct our guns against Israeli occupation ... Our rifles, all our rifles are aimed at The Occupation” ( Jerusalem Post, January 11, 2007; Independent Media & Review Analysis, January 12, 2007).

On Jews: “The sons of Israel are corrupting humanity on earth” ( World Net Daily, January 11, 2007).

On Israel: “the Zionist enemy” (Associated Press, January 4, 2005; CNN.com, January 7, 2005).

On suicide bombers: “Allah loves the martyr” ( Wall Street Journal, January 5, 2005).

On wanted Palestinian terrorists: “heroes fighting for freedom” ( Age [Melbourne], January 3, 2005); ” Israel calls them murderers, we call them strugglers” (Jerusalem Post, December 25, 2004).

On Palestinian terrorist leaders Yasser Arafat, Hamas’ Ahmad Yasin and Abdel Aziz Rantisi and Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s Fathi Shikaki: “martyrs” (Palestinian Media Center , September 9, 2005)

On Hamas: “We must unite the Hamas and Fatah blood in the struggle against Israel as we did at the beginning of the intifada. We want a political partnership with Hamas” ( Jerusalem Post, February 5, 2007).

While many in this country are experiencing financial difficulties in this economic downturn, it makes sense to me that we should be sending our tax dollars to help finance home purchases by Palestinians (who we all know love us and will so appreciate this “generosity” that they will have an immediate epiphany and ALL lay down their arms and accept Israel, the United States and all other Infidels, as their brothers in peace) in the West Bank.. /sarc

getusedtoit

”Yes, I intend to build a legacy for myself and I don’t care what I have to do to get it. So, ‘git over it, y’all’.”

This comes after the March announcement that “we” were going to help Egypt to the tune of some $23m (AND THE ASSISTANCE OF OUR CORPS OF ENGINEERS) build a “border” fence.

While the “moderate” Islamofacists Fatah (who terrorist arm the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade) has refused to accept Israel’s existence and lob rockets in to Israeli territories on a daily basis and attempts to kill as many Israelis as possible, W sends his lapdog “Condi-Clueless” (whose candid views reveal her consideration of Hamas as a “Resistance Movement) to the Mid East with regularity with orders for Israel to cave and offer ever more concessions, while requiring NOTHING in return from Fatah.

And no, I am not Jewish (French, Catholic) but to continue this same insane policy toward our ONLY ally in the entire Middle East (begun by the Traitorous P-Nut Farmer) which jeopardizes Israel’s very existence, is beyond ludicrous

Oh yes, less anyone think I am suffering from BDS, I DID vote for him twice (well actually, once and once against John “The Snake” Kerry, because by 2004, I (and many others) had come to realize that W was a flaming RINO and definitely, the lesser of 2 evils—much as it will be this November.

Its enough to one want to go and have a nice double shot of Crown Royal and light up a good cigar, and try and calm down, less I burst yet another blood vessel over the direction the country is obviously headed for.

In the middle of a mortgage crisis and falling home values in the US, the government is going to help tens of thousands of Palestinians build homes. Tone deaf politics - or maybe brain dead politics.

You know what else I’m fed up about, I’m fed up with all these FR posters that piss all over McCain because “He's NOT conservative enough” - stating that they will “Stay home” on election day....what a bunch of wieners. Yet by staying home they’ll GIVE the presidency to OBAMA the racist pig..

McCain loves his country more than some of these FR conservatives...His Family’s military service, his father’s service, his service and his son's military service...You don't get to many families like that anymore...

WTF did Obama sacrifice? Clinton? Traitors…

Let McCain say whatever he wants, he should be President...Hell, I'm not even American and I know who would keep America STRONG....

It’s not only leftists that think that. Many very intelligent folks here on FR believe the same. You’ll have to change your screen name now.

“...You’ll have to change your screen name now...”

Yup...Its like tattooing your wife's name on yourself...

I pulled for Gore over Bush...Glad that didn't work our, cause Gore like Kerry might have been worse...

It really comes down to “Which candidate will do less harm to America”

Even Reagan had wobbly knees...

Which candidate will put his country before world opinion and which candidate will really do less harm to America???

Israel has been left with few options as it relates to the Palestinians on the West Bank or in Gaza. Tightening the economic clamps on those two areas, has been one of the few ways Israel could cause the people there to at least think about adopting peace instead of suffer hardship. Nothing else has worked. Part of this policy by Israel has been directed at getting the Palestinian people to pick moderates for leaders.

In swoops the United States to make things easier for the poor people on the West Bank. Europe does the same thing. Both are as blind as bats, in that they cannot see farther than the ends of their own noses as it relates to the dynamics the Israelis have to face.

Then on top of that, Jimmy to idiot savant of the political world jumps in to bolster the standing of Hamas and Syrian terorrists and terrorist sympathizers.

Carter is a savant due to his political skills, able to destabalize regions in mere momements, something even terrorists can’t do with complete success.

With friends like us, Isreal needs fewer enemies to destroy the benefits of it’s policies. Good luck Israel. The whole world works against you.

At least we ease our conciences as we supply funding, then betray the same nation as if we’ve got a right to.
