CHUCK BALDWIN: ONLY A MIRACLE CAN SAVE AMERICA NOW
Constitution Party ^ | 15Apr08 | CHUCK BALDWIN

Posted on 04/17/2008 7:44:24 PM PDT by claudiustg

Every four years, conservative "pragmatists" trot out the "We Can’t Let So-And-So Win" mantra. Of course, the so-and-so in question is always the Democratic Presidential candidate. For all of my adult life, I have been listening to so-called "conservative" Republicans warn us of the impending doom that would befall our country if the Democratic candidate were elected. And this year is no different.

This year’s Republican primary did provide a wonderful aberration, however, to the usual choices between Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Republicans had an opportunity to nominate a real American constitutionalist, a statesman in the similitude of Thomas Jefferson or James Madison. That man was Texas Congressman, Ron Paul. Unfortunately, the Republican faithful seem to be incapable of discerning the marks of true greatness, not to mention fidelity to constitutional government. It is doubtful that most of them even understand what constitutional government is. And as for Christian conservatives, they can barely see any issues beyond abortion and "gay rights." To try and convince them to support a constitutionalist candidate is like talking to a brick wall.

So, what choice does the Republican Party offer the American people this year? The worst of all possible choices: good old John "McSame" McCain.

Let’s be clear: a John McCain Presidency will be no better than a Hillary Clinton or a Barack Obama Presidency. In fact, in many ways, a McCain White House will be WORSE than a Democratic one.

McCain will win but it won’t be with the help of my vote.

I'm glad you're not buying that baloney. George H. W. Bush lost that election all by himself.

"No new taxes!"
"New World Order."
"I'm revoking my life membership in the NRA."

He was an early version of today's Globalist Super RINO. McCain is a GHWB RINO on steroids.

“I am convinced that only a miracle can save America now. And I am expecting God to grant such a miracle. Beyond that, I am willing to do my part to place myself in a position to let God use my voice and my vote to accomplish this miracle. And if that means voting for someone who “has no chance of winning” in order to let God take the glory for whatever victory results, it is the least I can do. So, who will join me?”

I am convinced that we have a stronger country and people than you do, apparently. I have tremendous faith in the founding fathers, that their wisdom and our founding documents will hold us in good stead.

I have quite a bit less confidence in you and your party, seeing your history of nominees

So, no.

Thank God there wasn’t one whiff of this noninterventionist nonsense in the Reagan administration. The Soviet Union’s gulags would still be doing a thriving business.

Oh yes there was too and it was one of the wiser things Reagan did. Who took out Saddam's nuclear program? Who was smart enough to sit back, say nothing, and let them do it? Reagan thankfully on foreign policy was not Da Bushes. Reagan would not have wasted his time sitting in the office eating bananas and coloring in his coloring book wasting the opportunity of a two house majority. Reagan fought the DEMs and did not do their work for them remember? GW Bush and his Poppy were the best Democratic presidents Ted Kennedy could have ever asked for.

Next item is Reagan sure as the dickens would not have put U. S. Troops in Iraq based on U.N. Resolution tripe and used them as Nation Builders not letting them do their jobs. Bush is highjly confused on the purpose of a United States Service Memebers existance. He would have not put up with the NCIS nonsense either and and sat in the Oval Officting like nothing was going on. Reagan was the true servicemembers CIC. If Reagan had taken us into a war in Iraq our troops would have been unleashed to do their vocation and came back home in a matter of months not decades from now due to idiotic Johnson type R.O.E.'s.

He would have been much tougher on China and not gave away the nation like Bush has. He may have even actually secured our borders calling it a crisis.

Reagan would have listened to the advice of wise advisor's and not surrounded himself with loyal globalist yes men who lacked the courage to tell him no when needed. Reagan sure would not have made Rummy Sec of Def or Cheney Sec of DEF much less VP. Poppy as VP was about his biggest mistake. Both POTUS Bushes were much closer to being LBJ on domestic and foreign issues than they ever were Reagan.

Ron Paul is a kook.

Tell ya what. If Bush had ran on the DEM ticket and won you would likely be among 95% of the Freepers who would have been demanding his impeachment for the stunts he's pulled. You say Paul is a kook when he is Conservative. Yet Bush is nothing more than LBJ the second and many in here think he's the best thing since their other Republican Liberal bungling hero Gerald Ford.

Then you might as well vote Democrat.

You need to look past the R and D after a candidates name and instead look at his or her political ideology. McCain has thumbed his nose at conservatives so many times he might as well be a Democrat. Voting for socialist McCain is the same as voting for a Democrat.

Good thinking there.. that is how we got the democrats running both houses. ie Pelosi and Reid.

No, Republicans lost control of Congress because the party has been steadily abandoning conservative values over the years and supplanting them with socialism in an effort to expand the voter base by appealing to socialists. The GOP got its wish and now all Americans are paying the price.

Conservatives drew a line in the sand by refusing to vote for incremental socialism. The GOP needs to wake up and accept the fact it needs to dump its socialist bent by appeasing conservatives if it stands any chance of regaining control of Congress.

I can't drop a bomb on commies like McCain did, but I can vote against one - Barack H. Obama!

Then you will be voting for a socialist. Congratulations!

So it's another garden variety "Let Hillary Win!" rant. Worst idea of the century.

So its another I'd rather vote for a socialist in the GOP than a socialist in the Democrat party losing strategy.

... Voting for some perfect ideal-for-you-only 1% candidate and thereby letting Obama DESTROY AMERICA AS WE KNOW IT because you didn’t stop him when you had a chance ... *THAT* is a wasted vote!!!

Voting for a candidate who is far from being a conservative only empowers the very people and ideology you think you are preventing from taking the Whitehouse.

Voting for these so-called third party candidates is far worse than voting Republican. These people are cowards and thieves. They ask for your commitment, time and money and offer you NOTHING in return.

They have no intention of winning anything. They're too cowardly to actually want to be put in a position where they have to govern. Then they'd be open to scrutiny.

I donated to the CP and then when I heard their ads against Bush--not Gore or Kerry, I realized what a chump I had been.

I have nothing but contempt for these people now. If they really meant what they say, they'd be fighting, and improving the Republican party and we'd all be better off.

" Just let me say that Carter was and is evil without realizing it, the poor sod."

Interesting that is my inside my head take on Jimmah. I usually just comment about his misadventures and inept management but deep inside I always thought he was evil. Now for the line that will most likely get me in trouble. The man that prays to much and wears it on his sleeve is usually turns out to be evil. If I am thinking about doing business with someone and they get the church reference in on the first or second meeting it is over I will not do business with them. I have had more "churchgoing" people try to screw me on business deals that I can recall and I have always considered them to be someone you I have to keep an eye on.

One of my Uncles was a die hard lib in the State Dept. during the Carter administration. He was so happy when Jimmah was elected. He went to his grave cursing the man. Never would tell me why; even with a great deal of lubrication but it always got down to "If you only knew what that peanut farming weasel did!"

Chuck Baldwin....isn't he an actor?

Let's see...the last time I let an actor influence my opinion was...

never!

So, this is no exception.

I love it. B-Rate Actors for Ron Paul. What's next? LOL
