Well, if McCain’s “League of Democracies” is code-speak for “something that gets us out of the UN” then I am all for it.

....and said any move that undermines the United Nations is a “mistake.” “Great powers set an example to the world and must give a chance to the United Nations to develop a new global system,” Gorbachev said. “We must not, instead of the United Nations, propose NATO or some kind of a coalition of democratic countries, as suggested by Sen. McCain. I think that to replace the U.N. with that kind of...

Nice try Gorby, you ole repressive commie, you. In fact, McCain is right. ANYTHING to replace the dysfunctional, anti-Western, anti-freedom, anti-democracy U.N. WOULD BE A BLESSING TO THE WORLD. Nice try Gorby.
(Gorby’s message was approved by the Democrat Socialist Party of the USA)

Of course Gorby says that. The job of the UN is to undermine the FRIGGEN US. We need to kick their sorry asses out of the US and drop our membership like a hot rock. The UN is like unions in this country, they have both far outlived their usefullness and should be disbanded.

Gorbacheve, isnt that the guy that lost and entire country? The last person I would ever take advice or criticism from. ;-)

Hey Gorby, why don’t you go peddle your swill in some third world country? Or aren’t the speaking fees there good enough for you?
To: Tailgunner Joe
This is one of the things that McCain is right about. If we can undermine the UN, let’s do it, by all means.

The first indication that McCain has a good idea. Who would have thought?

I think McCain’s idea of dropping the UN and organizing the world’s democracies is visionary. Why join a group dictators and third world thugs?
Come on... this is the same UN that put Libya at the head of the Human Rights commission.

The UN should have never allowed non-democracies as members. The Charter itself was flawed in this way.

‘Ol Gorby Glasnost is one pitiful unemployed ex-Soviet first secretary. Though I do regret that he is widowed.
Anyway, where does Gorbachev get off lecturing ANYBODY about public morals? His last public act as leader of the USSR was to threaten a Latvian citizen who had dared shout at his motorcade. Jumped out of his limo and confronted the Rigan, demanding identity papers and everything a la KGB.
Sorry, Misha, you’ll just have to wait ‘til the waitress brings your check, just like everyone else.

Well, I'll say one thing for McCain...he certainly is different.
He can't be pigeon-holed. I guess that's what "maverick" means.
To: krb
Since the US is not a democracy, I guess we wouldn’t participate.
