NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - A federal jury has convicted former Newark Mayor Sharpe James and his ex-mistress of corruption stemming from the cut-rate sale of city land.
James was convicted on all five charges he faced, including fraud and conspiracy.
His former girlfriend, Tamika Riley, was convicted on those charges and the eight others she faced, including evading taxes and cheating to obtain subsidized housing assistance for herself.

General rule #1: If party affiliation is not mentioned then they’re d’RATS.
Absolute Rule #1: Thou shalt not mention d’RATS in connection with corruption.

It is way past time we asked ourselves how we allowed this type of people control over our cities, states, and nation, and to put a stop to it.

Half of every graduating class graduates at the bottom and private industry does not want them so, they go into government and in their ineptitude they try to tell private industry what to do that they never did. Then we call for private industry to enter and fix the problem and when they do, we say they don't have the experience in politics to do a better job. It's a silly world.

I’d say she looks pretty hot, but I can’t because I’m a “typical white guy”.

“Topsy-turvy and haywired”?
Nay, LJ. Try top-heavy and underwired, yo?
(And knock me ovah with a feathah, too, while you’re at it. I’d predicted Sharpie Sharpe’s total exoneration.)
