Committing one abnomination one right after the other...I pray for their souls and their realization of the sinful lives they lead.

Maybe they should go back to Mass. where they got the original “marriage” performed.

I still don't get why gay couples have to even bother getting a divorce if their marriage is not legal in the state in which they live to begin with. There's nothing stopping them from simply moving on with their lives since there was no legal marriage to begin with.
This should only be a problem in Massachusetts or any other state in which gay marriage is legal.

Now let’s have no talk of their being hoist on their own petards and that sort of thing...

It’s just another “back door” to the agenda. They know some states will NEVER recognize gay marriage; so instead of attacking it head on, attack it from another angle, gay divorce. If they can get the divorce recognized, then the state MUST recognize that a legal marriage took existed in the first place. Veeerrryy sneeky.

You make an excellent point.Although I'm not a lawyer it seems to me that these attempts to get "divorced" might be a stealth plan to get some state or (Federal) judge outside of Mass to grant a "divorce",thus starting a process which,in the end, legalizes homosexual "marriage" by judicial fiat in that state.
Which is,essentially,what happened in Mass.

If they can get the divorce recognized, then the state MUST recognize that a legal marriage took existed in the first place.Point. I guess in this situation the "sentence" is far worse... move to Massachusetts and live with someone you can't be with for a year just to get a divorce!

Its all just another insincere drama queen ploy to drag Rhode Island into the toilet with Massachusetts.
Gay Agenda carefully crafted manipulation number 21776.

Gay couples who still live in the state where they got hitched can split up with little difficulty; .... What about the "he gets to keep half of all your stuff plus alimony" part?

Some gay couples are having trouble obtaining divorces I can see the basic legal problem with a lesbian "mariage"? If there is no man in the relationship to shaft, how is a divorce possible?

the totally retarded part about this is that there is no such thing as ‘divorce’ since these couples aren’t ‘married’ in these states. If they want to split up, then just F’ing split up!!! What else do you want from the government??? Need to divide your assets? Go ahead. Nobody is stopping them. They can sell real estate or argue over who gets the pet cats but none of this requires the government to consent. Mediators can be hired for this purpose despite there being no civil case filed.
And in most cases divorces get hung up on custody of children. And since that isn’t an issue, just decide who is getting what and shut the F up!!!! If you can’t decide who gets what, hire a arbitrator and agree to Binding Arbitration (just like people do in civil courts everywhere).
All this whining and moaning about not ‘being able to get divorced’ because they are lesbians is nonsense. Virtually all aspects of any divorce are simply divisions of property which don’t legally require even a court approval or involvement. The divorce lawyers would probably love to take on queer clients with or without a ‘divorce’ being legal in the state. Lawyers will bill you whether or not the state legalized gay marriage so feel free to get shafted by them just like straight couples who divorce.
Welcome to the downside of marriage, Queers!!!
