No sense of Sophoclean tragedy herethat Obama has several hamartia, that due to hubris keep growing and growing, until at the opportune moment they bring on nemesis and with it atê. One doesn't usually see so much Greek thrown into a sentence nowadays. VDH rocks!

I sense the spirit of WFB in VDH. This article nails it in so many ways. My favorite part is where he discusses that whenever Obama slips, it is blamed on the racist, conspiritorial, gun toting right wingers who “steal” elections whenever they win. Idiots like Keith Olbermann display this attitude nightly.

In some sense, this is all as it should be. America will have a clear option to vote for someone who has a European view of the United Statesas a rather primordial mean and backward society, salvageable only when run by cosmopolitan Ivy-League elites who can somehow stomach their own contempt long enough to delude and get a pass from the yokels they must help. This defines the Democrat Party as a whole; not just BHO.

No sense of Sophoclean tragedy herethat Obama has several hamartia, that due to hubris keep growing and growing, until at the opportune moment they bring on nemesis and with it atê. No sense of Sophoclean tragedy herethat Obama has several "errors in judgment" or "sins", that due to "pride" keep growing and growing, until at the opportune moment they bring on "divine retribution" and with it "ruin".
rough translation.

And yet white elite leftish America senses that such talents dont need liberals permission and ratification, and so dont do anything for their own left-wing guilt. The elite liberal wants to be told that HE did something for a poor African-American and therefore in recompense deserves to be finally free of guiltand yet also wants to forever be in a position of condescension and being owed some sort of perennial thanks.VDH defines liberal racists to a 'T'. If Blacks succeed without their intervention it cannot assuage their collective guilt. Yet this guilt is built upon their continued racism toward the very people they espouse.

Thanks for the FYI. Wonder how long it will be before the media only reports Obama’s revised remarks and spin.

Hamartia is Greek for "error" or "sin" in a NT context.
Ate is "foolishness" generally resulting from an inflated sense of self-worth.

You know, that’s an interesting semantic point. They use “religion” when they mean to cast it as something threatening, and “faith” when they don’t.

One doesn't usually see so much Greek thrown into a sentence nowadays. VDH rocks! No kidding! thank goodness for Firefox's dictionary.com plugin where I can highlight the word, right click on it and a little window pop up with the definition.
That was yet another great VDH article.
