Obama was going to get utterly destroyed. He might not even have won Illinois once the Swift Boat people got through with him.

I live in the Chicago area, and there's a chance that a lot of Democrats in the suburbs and Chicago would not vote for him by November.

Rove says:

1) That Hillary and Obama don't have the ability to punch the other from the right like we do, and the longer the primary continues the longer they have that shield.

2) As long as the primary continues McCain stays below the fold.

3) If this goes to the convention, at the end of the convention there will be the biggest lovefest reconcilliation in the history of earth, and we probably won't have time to punch through the good vibes.

A lot of people would have voted for Obama because they don't know much about the issues and the DIDN'T know much about him.

BUT by November, when Obama was laid bare for all to see, only a small percentage of people would go with him.
