Can’t question the black man.

Hillary has the "sexist" trump card to play, and Alligator tears.

Thank you... Imagine a President Obama for 8 years (and make no mistake, it WILL be 8 years if he wins)... The economy will be roaring back as soon as he starts, he'll get non-stop positive press, and any and all social programs will be passed... The GOP will fall backwards trying not to be labeled rac... It would be a disaster...

At least with Hillary, they can block whatever they disagree with (or try to slow them down), without being labeled rac.

Millions of rank-and-file Dim six-pack joes in this country will NEVER vote for a black person for POTUS.

Till my trophies at last I lay down;

I will cling to the Old Rugged Cross,

And exchange it some day for a crown.

The Clinton presidency once the Republican congress came into play wasn't bad economically with very small gov't growth (far less than Bush II has) and welfare reform and no new government programs. We need that again (gridlock) which is far more likely to happen under a Clinton administration than a Obama administration for our economy to recover. If Obama isn't the nominee, blacks that vote will vote for Clinton but most will sit at home which would almost be a guarantee of a McCain win.

Plus, Obama is FAR more liberal in nearly EVERYTHING than Clinton is. THe thing his pastor has said and he has sad recently and his Muslim upbringing make me far more nervous than the devil I do know (Hillary).

The clintons are professional crooks who are actually able to implement their various schemes and could actually pull off a win in november.

Obama is an amateur whom I give no chance of winning the general. What he had the ability to do was put an end to the clintons.

We have helped thwart that very desirable outcome and are now left with at least the possibility that they could return to the whitehouse, literally “with a vengeance”.

As to the economy during Clinton one, the fact that they managed to not fall off the economic tsunami created by Reagan does not accrue to their credit.

You do not give Obama enough credit among the voters.

Clinton's budgets, mainly due to be slapped around by conservative congress, was more conservative economically from 94-00 than Bush II has been period whose only saving grace has been tax cuts. You are right about Reagan helping jump start the economy but the late 90s boom was caused mainly by the internet/personal computer boom and a congress that wasn't spending money like a drunk sailor.

Frankly, none of the 3 major candidates I like a lot. McCain is ok. Hillary is not OK but I know what she stands for. Obama is about as far left as it gets and we don't know how he'd be re the war on terror, etc and frankly he's a lot scarier and I believe has a better chance at winning the general than Hillary EXCLUDING the fact that it looks like Hillary & Obama may cause a bitter division now in the democratic party.

“Interesting how he fields questions about when life begins, abortion, assisted suicide, etc., without seeming the blatant far-lefter that we know he is”

Were they all softballs or did any media person ask:
“You voted against a proposed law - the Born-Alive Protection Act - that would protect newborn infants who were surviving victims of botched abortions.
Why on earth did you oppose protecting babies?”

If they are not asking that question, they are asking nothing.
It is a charade.

CONGRESS holds the purse strings.
The one who deserves credit on that is NEWT GINGRICH.

Gingrich and Lott were more conservative than Hastert and Frist. Therein lies the fall of fiscal conservatism in the GOP Congress.

The Convention isn't over yet. Mitt could still be it or about anyone else as far as that goes. I have issues with Mitt but no where near my concerns about McCain. However, the Mormon bigot factor cannot be overlooked. He would have a hard time in the South
