WASHINGTON, Feb. 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Accuracy in Media editor Cliff Kincaid disclosed today that a hugely expensive bill called the "Global Poverty Act," sponsored by Democratic Senator Barack Obama, was quickly passed by the Senate Foreign Relations Committee on Wednesday and could result in the imposition of a global tax on the United States. Kincaid said that the major media's cover-up of the bill, which makes levels of U.S. foreign aid spending subservient to the dictates of the United Nations, demonstrates the media's desire to see Senator Obama elected to the presidency.

In a column posted on the AIM web site, Kincaid noted that Senator Joe Biden, chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, was trying to rush Obama's "Global Poverty Act" (S. 2433) through his committee without hearings. The legislation would commit the U.S. to spending 0.7 percent of gross national product on foreign aid, which amounts to a phenomenal 13-year total of $845 billion over and above what the U.S. already spends. It was scheduled for a Thursday vote but was moved up a day, to Wednesday, and rushed through by voice vote. Kincaid learned, however, that conservative Senators have now put a "hold" on the legislation, in order to prevent it from being rushed to the floor for a full Senate vote.

That’s really a press release, and not a Reuters article.

Still worth a closer look.

Take this phrase from the first paragraph and post it in every location where you can leave comments about Obama.

I know it’s over 13 years. It’s just that most people cannot comprehend $845 billion. They don’t even have a clue as to how much the federal budget is.

If they hear that it’s 1/3 of our ENTIRE 2008 FEDERAL BUDGET, it helps them comprehend it a little bit better.

In lockstep with the "Global Warming" mantra that even RINO's are promoting.

All in all, what it is a "Robin Hood" mindset to promote taking from those who have and giving to those who have not without choice of giving by personal choice.

Pick your title, however it ALWAYS boils down to the same agenda.

Where does the 0.7% of GNP come from? I don’t see anything in the legislation that talks about this.

“It’s proof that people behind the scenes are pulling the strings on our national leaders, who are puppets.”

Some would pull out their tin foil hats on a statement like that.........I won’t.

It’s based off GNP to make our contribution higher.

That’s exactly right.

This proposal may not have passed yet but it does a lot to expose Obama’s agenda.

Obama will just say, “George Bush spends trillions on Iraq, which does nothing but make us less safe, it’s causing our troops to die for no reason, and it’s killing innocent civilians for no reason. $845 billion is not a lot compared to the war, especially when you consider it will make us much safer, and help millions of people.”

And the salient arguments against Obama will just say, "Of the $845,000,000,000 how much of will line the pockets of 3rd world dictators and their lackeys? And how much of this money will find its way to buy weapons for terrorists? And who will distribute the money to with equality to the poor of the world without the specter of skimming, kickbacks, and other forms of graft? Will the American people be willing to support global welfare on such a grand scale?

Will "Global Welfare" pave the way for other wealth transfer schemes like Global Warming, which Congress may pass laws where the the US has to buy carbon credits from the countries like Toga and Tonga?"

Sure hope O’Reilly, Hannity, and Drudge pick up on this story.

Given the corruption of the UN, Obama would permit its hand in our till? Insane.
