Barack Obama Claims He's Not "Pro-Abortion," Abortion Not a "Good Thing"

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Barack Obama has voted against every limit on abortion as a member of the U.S. Senate -- including repeated votes against making sure taxpayers aren't forced to pay for abortions here or overseas. But Obama told the media on Friday that no one, including him, is pro-abortion.
As LifeNews.com reported, Obama's campaign announced a new contingent of Catholics who are supporting his presidential bid.
The group is led by two pro-life elected officials, Sen. Bob Casey of Pennsylvania and former Rep. Tim Roemer of Indiana.
Obama used their support to play down his views in favor of abortion, according to an AP report.
"It may be that those who have opposed abortion get a sense that I'm listening to them and respect their position even though where we finally come down may be different," he said.
"Most Americans recognize that what we want to do is avoid, or help people avoid, having to make this difficult choice. That nobody is pro-abortion, abortion is never a good thing," he added.
Obama also reflected on the problem pro-abortion candidates like him have had connecting with voters, a majority of women are pro-life and a strong majority of whom support the kind of common sense limits he opposes.
"The mistake that pro-choice forces have sometimes made in the past, and this is a generalization so it has not always been the case, has been to not acknowledge the wrenching moral issues involved in it," he said.

"Most Americans recognize that what we want to do is avoid, or help people avoid, having to make this difficult choice. That nobody is pro-abortion, abortion is never a good thing," he added. Saying you want it to be "safe and legal and rare" or some variant on that theme IS PRO-ABORTION!

Most libs I know say they’re not pro-abortion!
Whatever side of any issue makes them feel better about being a good person with whoever they’re talking with, that’s the side they choose. I guess that explains the ‘pro-choice’ thing...

Socialists lie. Always.
Wouldn’t want to raise an ungrateful little punishment who might grow up in a broken home, resentful of his family, who could one day be in line for President would you?

This creep referred to babies as “punishment” — nobody will ever forget that is how he REALLY feels.

So what are they calling it this week? There are two sides pro and anti pick one.

Obama is as extreme a pro-abort as you can get, short of doing the procedures yourself.
He voted three times against the infants born alive protection act. In other words, he voted three times to kill babies after they have been born. One reason he may have done so is that his pastor, Rev. Wright, had a hospital subsidiary where these procedures were performed for profit.
Obama is right in there with Peter Singer, the Princeton baby killer.

Doublespeak, doublespeak. “Nobody is pro-abortion.” I’ve heard a liberal friend of mine use this LAME argument for years.
“Most Americans recognize that what we want to do is avoid, or help people avoid, having to make this difficult choice. That nobody is pro-abortion, abortion is never a good thing,” he added.
Yeah, tell me Barack — Precisely when is the choice to kill a baby the better choice??? I can’t believe this guy has made it this far, and is given so many kudos for charisma. His arguments tend to be sophomoric.

Take courage, by this time next year, most people will have forgotten who this generously auriculated tyros is. The focus will have changed to keeping McBackstabber on the rails so invaders don’t become neighbors.

P.S. Although Bob Casey ran as a pro-lifer, he has voted in favor of abortion since getting into the senate. In other words, he’s a liar.
I don’t know what Tim Roemer’s problem is, but he having come out for Obama he clearly has no claim to be a pro-lifer either.

Liberals saying they are not pro-abortion means “Abortion is a terrible thing like laundry. We hate it but we HAVE to do it.”

Obama carefully picked his church to appeal to both the black constituency he wanted to immediately represent and a broader liberal constituency that he hope to represent in the future. The United Church of Christ has strongly supported the legalization of abortion since 1971. The UCC supported the Freedom of Choice Act and strongly opposed the Partial Birth Abortion ban to the point of joining the National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action League (NARRAL) in a statement affirming President Clintons veto of the PBA Ban Act in 1996. The UCC has also called for the church to support abortion in any national health care bill.
Jeremy Wright is right at home, as is Obama, within this radical liberal sect.

Obama! You are full of it and I’m not buying what you’re selling.
You don’t even think infant survivors of abortion should receive medical treatment.
You are the most extreme pro-death candidate ever!
