TIKRIT, Iraq The Iraqi Department of Border Enforcement discovered a large weapons cache in the eastern desert of Diyala Province April 11.
The cache contained more than 100 anti-personnel mines as well as anti-tank mines and a 155mm projectile.
The Iraqi Department of Border Enforcement in northern Iraq contains more than 8,700 agents and covers nine points of entry into the country. They also patrol the border and conduct other assigned law enforcement duties.
Iraqi Border Enforcement is an invaluable asset towards the security of Iraq, said Maj. Peggy Kageleiry, a Multi-National Division North spokesperson.

It looks like they are finally stepping up to the plate. We can’t be there forever, they are going to have to take control of their country soon.
