Morning, FRiends! Cold and drizzly this morning, after a storm last night. Anoreth, Bill and I bicycled up to the pier; my ears got really cold. I saw quite a few people in brand-new Myrtle Beach sweatshirts :-). It’s supposed to clear up and be in the 70’s by late afternoon.
Our plan is that DP and I will take the 5 older children to the movies this afternoon, and the in-laws will watch the byos.
Sunny and 80 in the forecast tomorrow. Maybe Bill can have a kayak for the day.
Going to see “Prince Caspian”??
Had 2 missions yesterday. 2nd was a WWII vet, who's grandson was killed in Afghanistan. During the procession from the church to the cemetery, I was riding missing man formation flying Old Glory directly in front of the coach...we passed a school with a playground loaded with kids...I was stunned to hear (as the coach was passing by with the widow and family directly behind) shouts of “Viva La Mexico”...”Viva La Raza”...”Viva Aztlan”....Needless to say, at the completion of the mission the Gunny (ride captain) was quite furious...basically blew a gasket...7 of us proceeded directly back to the school...drove bikes right on campus directly in front of the Admin office...went in and vented a little...Counselors and secretaries were shocked at the what happened and promised some action (we don't know what)...principal was not on campus, but Gunny got his info and promised to follow up (Gunny does not renege on his promises)...We'll see what happens.
