Former Micron executive Larry Grant said Thursday morning that he will not run for the U.S. House in Idaho's 1st congressional district. Instead, Grant endorsed Walt Minnick, a former timber executive who ran for the U.S. Senate in 1996.

I’m thinking Grant is still wishing he could have run in the 2nd district, since you’ve got Sun Valley/Ketchum and the North end of Boise in that district. He just had not shot at fooling enough people in the district in which I reside.

You’re probably right, but it might have made it much more interesting, esp. since the current GOP Rep. in that district (Mike Simpson) does have some RINO tendencies.
