SAN ANGELO, Texas Teenage girls, often younger than 16, were required to have sex in the soaring white temple after they were married in sect-recognized unions at a polygamist compound in West Texas, according to court documents unsealed Wednesday.
The temple "contains an area where there is a bed where males over the age of 17 engage in sexual activity with female children under the age of 17," said an affidavit quoting a confidential informant who left the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Matt 18:6
But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. If they want God's mercy, they'd better be pretty sincere when they repent.
Otherwise "c" is a given.

Ever been to an inner-city? Nope.

The church lawyers liars described in documents three men being dragged from the temple as law enforcement sought entry for the search.

While I agree that this is a problem it isn’t the same as what is supposed to be going on here.

Were they forced into early marriage in isolation?
Or did they just want the bigger welfare checks?
And before anyone goes blasting me for my *insensitivity*, I lived 18 long years in a welfare community and saw it all. It happens and that’s the reason for it.

The affidavit unsealed Wednesday mentions a 16-year-old girl who has four children. When I was a little kid I remember my dad shooting hog for slaughter, the pigs that have been doing this, to these young girls, don't deserve a clean shot to the head.

Your mother should really be the one to explain that to you.

“Ever been to an inner-city?”
I have lived, worked, and night clubbed and partied in inner cities, but I have never been a member of a cult.

Please do not try to justify the raping of these young girls who were -many of them- born in a brothel, only to be raised to be sex slaves of dirty old men.
It takes a very sick mind to justify this by pointing fingers at other injustices in the world, which have no similarity as to the reasons.
To use religion to gain mastery over helpless souls is the most despicible thing on the face of the earth, done by the most vile and evil and loathsome persons, who should be given the death penalty because of the lives they have ruined.
To: Burkean
The difference is that the girls you taught probably had boyfriends who were generally their age.
You seem to by implying that the girls in this compound would have ended up as sluts anyway?
To: JRochelle
My guess is info like that would be deemed sacred. No,they agreed to a third party review to remove anything that was attorney client privileged.

What exactly are you upset about?
The age of the women, or their choice of religion?

The timing of this thing is curious.
Sure makes everyone hate white southern religious types.
Coincidence?

The FLDS has only been there since about 2002. True that they've only been in Eldorado, TX since '02 but these child rapists have been practicing their warped brand of lunacy since they split from the LDS Church over 80 years ago.

You fail to mention that Obama's father was a Polygamist. There are more Muslim's currently practicing polygamy than there ever were Mormans.
While I wouldn't want to live like a FLDS, I do feel like the govt is over-reaching here. Imagine if your neighbor called the cops about a statutory crime that occured a few months/years ago and the police came into your neighborhood and arrested your wife and took your children then demanded access to your home to discover evidence of crimes you may have been involved in. I guess sometimes Freedom and Liberty in the country takes a vacation for groups outside the norm.
