My understanding was always that Visa holders in this country were not allowed to take part in political demonstrations. Seems many of the pro-China protesters were students...presumably on student visas. I know everyone will get a chuckle out of me expecting immigration and visa laws to be enforced, but shouldn’t these students be deported?

Wait, I'm confused by this photo. When I was in SF a few years back, the Chinese there had tables set up on the street to denounce the treatment of Chinese under Chinese Communism. And the Berkeley American born white Communists were advocating FOR Communism.
I think this is a staged photo op to make it appear that white liberals oppose Communism.
The main gripe I HAVE heard from white libs about China is that they aren't taking a stand on Darfur. Seriously.

Do I know that he’s a San Francisco liberal? Though I don’t think anyone needs to be yelling in someone’s face to get a point across, I think that protesting in favor of a free Tibet is a good thing.

You could hold a quilting bee in San Francisco and you’d have a group of protesters show up!
