I think the Canadian bloggers were under the illusion they live in a free country.

Maybe. I also wonder if some of them figured Canada was finally wrenching itself out of the liberal socialist toilet when Harper got elected. So much for THAT fantasy.

Any removal of an entrenched bureaucracy takes time. The Canadian Human Rights Commission should go, but it will be a hard and long road. Any particular administration has little short term effect.
