Any removal of an entrenched bureaucracy takes time. The Canadian Human Rights Commission should go, but it will be a hard and long road. Any particular administration has little short term effect.
Our own silly sideshow, the “Civil Rights Commission”, has been rendered toothless under the Bush Administration (thank God) so maybe some Canadians figured Harper had the same capability in his position as PM. I realize the two governments work very differently, but it is interesting to see just how different they truly are. Who would have thought Canada could embrace fascism?
