I didn’t realize anyone actually watched that game.

Does anyone actually watch women's basketball?
TV has been trying to promote it for year despite poor attendance and dismal ratings.

I was on Politico a few minutes ago and someone there was saying that the photo of Obama with his hands folded in front of him while Richardson, Hillary and some other women all hand their hands on their hearts is photoshopped and has been debunked over and over.
Some of the reasons are
1. The shadows are going different ways
2. What is holding up the flag?
3. Why are they looking different ways?
I noticed that there seems to be something funny about the scale of the people as they relate to each other.
Hope Freepers can shed some light on this.

Stanford is in the SF Bay area, so their lack of respect is no big surprise. Nevertheless, the National Anthem was terribly sung last night.

Had you considered that no one ever told them that holding one's hand over the heart during the National Anthem was a 'respectful' thing to do? Frankly, I don't hold my hand over my heart, except when I'm saying the Pledge of Allegiance. During the Anthem, I'm SINGING!
Remember, some of those young women may have attended public schools that didn't even say the pledge of allegiance. They may have no idea how to act during the playing of the Anthem. After all, there are many Americans who think the last two words of the song are "Play Ball"!
