SHANGHAI, China (AP) -- China and Syria have signed an agreement to build a joint venture refinery in eastern Syria, expanding their cooperation to include oil processing, China National Petroleum Corp. said in a statement seen Tuesday.

"During any unrest, they can move in troops to protect their assetts."That was what I was suspecting ... actually, I thought more of them being a closer force against the US by having their troops next door to the Iraq we're building, and .. is it Poland we're in agreement with for a missile base?
The key geographic is the Middle East, and the eyes of the world are watching.
