'The French and American ships must attack the pirates. They have our blessing,' Mr Ghelle said

Hahahahahha. good luck with that Mr. Ghelle. The French have an aversion to any form of justified use of military force.

Boy, must your face be red...

And just to clarify things, here are a few conflicts where France, despite of its “deep aversion to any form of justified use of military force”, oddly sent soldiers :

- Korean War (1950-1953)
- Egypt (1956)
- Zaire (1977)
- Lebanon (1982-1984)
- Chad (1980-1984)
- Iraq (1990-1991)
- Ex-Yugoslavia (1992-today)
- Somalia (1995)
- Afghanistan (2001)
- Haiti (2004)

And that’s only a few items picked in a much longer list... Maybe these were the unjustified uses of military force ?
