John McCain's campaign called on Barack Obama Tuesday to condemn a comment from one of his Senate supporters that the presumptive Republican nominee, a naval aviator during the Vietnam War, "was a fighter pilot who dropped laser-guided missiles from 35,000 feet. He was long gone when they hit."

Senator Lindsey Graham was just on Foxnews and they mentioned that Obama denounced the statements. There is something weird going on with McCain and Obama...can’t put my finger on it, but something is there...lol.
did you know the atomic bombs dropped on Japan were both launched from a secret base in the aleutians and were laser guided all the way?? the airplane supposedly used just flew circles around saipan until it was time to land..everyone knows that../s
And the Trilateral Commission says......?????????
I may not be as techno savy as Senator Rockefeller but I don’t believe we had laser guided bombs during the Vietnam war. In fact the Vietnam War was before personal computers, laser printers and cell phones. Hell, even Xerox machines were rare even if they existed then.
Didn’t Rockefeller have a brain tumor or something?
McCain was shot down...hello?
Obama fears debates in the general election so when McCain tells him to do something now... he does it. McCain is turning Obama into his little lap dog.
liberal senility is ugly
Laser guided bombs were developed in the early 1970s, several years after McCain checked into the Hanoi Hilton.
Rockefeller is PURE SCUM. The very reason that John McCain and so many other US pilots were shot down over North Vietnam is that they took enormous risks to attack targets from much closer range than would have been necessary if we just wanted to obliterate everything in the area from 35,000 feet. When it came to many many targets in and around populated areas in North Vietnam, A-4 and other pilots took huge risks (and many died or were imprisoned & tortured).
Rockefeller is so friggin’ ignorant that he does not have the slightest idea of what an A-4 was or how it was used in the Vietnam War. Rockefeller’s complete ignorance and vicious depravity must be fully exposed!!!
I believe the rich, privileged and pamp’red Mr. Rockefeller served in some dangerous outfit such as the Peace Corps during the Vietnam War.
Considering his injuries sustained while in NV hands, I suggest a designated hitter.
I'm not a McCain fan, but this is a Navair matter.
Man, reading the comments at that blog reminds me of what CNN viewer are like. What a bunch of commies.
There are some powerful people behind the scenes pulling strings for fauxbama... he’s a nobody who’s done nothing, yet every time he’s faced a challege, powers that be make sure that challenge goes away, no matter what laws need to be broken for it to happen.
Fauxbama is the puppet of someone(s) that are very powerful... and no I’m not talking about the Daley machine.. these guys are way bigger than that.
Its real simple; Obama knows McCain has the goods on him ( Especially on Obamas backroom support of Luo/Odinga genocide in Kenya), and if Obama does not conduct a campaign in which he genuflects to King McCain, then McCain will mop the floor with Obama.
This will become a defining campaign between Utopian liberals who are out to create their own la la land reality, and Republicans who are no longer conservatives. It will be a very dirty campaign.
The question is which one of these men will be least disasterous for America? No way to tell until we see their running mates?
Excellent!
Oh come on, it isn’t like they called him a monkey!
Rockefeller Apologizes To McCain

| McCain's 'service honorable and noble,' Rockefeller said. Senator Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va. called Arizona senator and presidential candidate John McCain Tuesday to apologize for remark he made about McCain in a recent newspaper article. I have deep respect for John McCains honorable and noble service to our country. I made an inaccurate and wrong analogy and I have extended my sincere apology to him," Rockefeller said in a release. "While we differ a great deal on policy issues, I profoundly respect and appreciate his dedication to our country, and I regret my very poor choice of words." Rockefellers remarks were published in an interview with the Charleston Gazette. He said McCain has become insensitive to many human issues. According to the paper, Rockefeller said "McCain was a fighter pilot, who dropped laser-guided missiles from 35,000 feet. He was long gone when they hit. What happened when they [the missiles] get to the ground? He doesnt know. You have to care about the lives of people. McCain never gets into those issues." |
