It isn't a mistake. They're doing it on purpose.
They're betting that the Rat counterculture will become the new majority culture, and they are sucking up to them by kicking the new, official Reginald Dennys of American society: ordinary, moral, patriotic Americans, the kind who used to be the overwhelming demographic 60 years ago and produced "the greatest generation".
But to restate the main point, it's very deliberate.
How many conservative, "old mainstream" Americans drink cute, "designer" vodkas? Their booze is a lifestyle accessory for the vapid and valueless, and they know it.
Actual Russians told you that?
Where is Skyy made, and how do you pronounce it?
Eight Inch Ruler? He's a little taller than that.
*groan*
I once asked an Indian (subcontinent type) colleague to hand me "that ruler", referring to a graduated straight edge.
He looked at me like I was from Mars ...
In India, a "ruler" is a king (for example) ... the drafting implement is called a "scale". Of course, here a "scale" is used for measuring weight.
These are the vodkas you can easily get at the store, they said. They went on and on about special connoisseur vodka they’ve had, but I stopped listening. I’m not a drinker anymore.
What if the Swedes are purposely sabotaging Pernod prior to the company transfer? It’s no longer their company so the gloves come off.
This should get interesting with Pernod’s US bias’s clouding the issue.
