Read the last two comment posts.
Hugh Hewitt found that Obama himself mentions Wright’s Muslim background in his (Obama’s) book.

Barack Obama provides an account of his meeting Rev. Wright in Dreams from my Father, as well as this brief bio on p. 282:
“He had grown up in Philadelphia, the son of a Baptist minister. He had resisted his father’s vocation at first, joining the Marines out of college, dabbling with liquor, Islam, and black nationalism in the sixties. But the call of his faith had apparently remained, a steady tug on his heart, and eventually he’d entered Howard, then the University of Chicago, where he spent six years studying for a Ph.D. in the history of religion. “

Of course the Obama campaign is not the only ones airbrushing their website due to the sudden scrutiny of Reverend Doctor Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. and his flock.
As we noted back in January of 2007, the pastors church used to explain themselves thusly (via the Internet Wayback Machine):
Mr. Obama recalled the opening lines of the Arabic call to
prayer, reciting them with a first-rate accent. In a remark that
seemed delightfully uncalculated [...], Mr. Obama described the
call to prayer as "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at
sunset."

I agree with your comments.
Wouldn’t both of these high-profile people be considered dangerous apostates? Yes, I believe they would.
Makes me say hmmmm, too.

OUTSTANDING Timeout!
Many thanks to Ryan Lizza at The New Republic.
BUMP-TO-THE-TRUTH!
If there is a "legitimate biography" of Wright, a relatively famous and/or notorious person, that doesn't mention his educational background and major in college, that is suspicious in and of itself.
We need a Chicago freeper to check out The Chicago Divinity School's records.
>>>He reiterated Islams teaching of mercy.<<<
Yep. Ask Nick Berg and Danny Pearl. They're familiar with the concept.
Farrakhan's NoI is not really "Islam" in the Quranic sense. They do not preach from the Quran or Hadith. Nation of Islam is this weird Black Nationalist cult that just calls itself Islamic. Similarly, Wright's group seems mainly Black Nationalist at its core. What we might have here are just two "skins" on the same core.
it could also be that Wright is not as "former" as he claims, and that Wright's church is a "feeder" to NoI, and/or a place where NoI can congregate while giving the surface appearance of being mainstream Christian
I got to it via a link from LittleGreenFootballs.com
Wright stuff bump
I found it on LGF as well.
BTTT.
Can this be put in the sidebar as well for more visibility?
Thanks for posting the article about Ellison.
