It’s a generic term these days. It doesn’t mean to use Google exclusively, but to do an Internet search for information.

Bill Sammon saying, “But it sounds like you do not wish to change the laws that now allow (abortion)...”

Rice responded, “Well, I don't spend my entire life thinking about these issues..."

How much time do you need?

Only in your bizarro world does an admitted, unapologetic pro-life candidate have "exactly the same views" as an admitted, unapologetic, pro-choice candidate, who, in her own words, calls pro-lifers "the other side". Bush has NEVER called himself pro-choice and referred to pro-life activists as "the other side"

Rice has explictly pointed out the only types of abortion she would stop is partial-birth and late-term abortions. Her exact words. She has pointed out over and over again she is fine with the "existing laws" on first and second trimester abortions and would not change them. Bush, on the other hand, has explictedily said he would support legislation to end all abortion expect in cases of rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother. His words. Rice has never supported that. The only reason she says she's happy with what the President has done thus far is the only legislation he's been able to get passed into law dealth with federal funding of abortion and banning partial-birth abortion.

If you're fine with Rice's "mildly pro-choice" platform, fine, you have the right to state your views that conservatives should accept a politician who agrees with them on ending late term abortion. But if you continue to post these outright lies that a pro-choice candidate has "the exact same views" as a pro-life candidate, I'll have to report you to the mods. We don't allow that kind of disruptive garbage on FR, anymore than if you were going to hijack a second amendment thread and try to sell us on a gun-control politician having the exact same position as a gun-rights politician.

Rice is pro-choice and Bush is pro-life. They have admitted it publicly. Those are the FACTS. Give it up.

Neither has Rice. That was just a conversationl demarcation between one side and "the other side." It wasn't "my side" and the other side. Don't lie.

Rice has explictly pointed out the only types of abortion she would stop is partial-birth and late-term abortions. Her exact words.

You are making stuff up. Here's the quote: "I'm a strong proponent of a ban on late-term abortion." She does not say that is the only type of abortion she would stop. One could even read that as more aggressive than Bush's position in that she supports a ban on late-term abortion even if it meets one of the three exceptions that Bush supports. It's too ambiguous to tell. But your reading it in the harshest light is just as bad as reading it in the mildest light. Where is the quote of her "exact words" where she states "explicitly" that the "only" types of abortion "she would stop" are partial-birth and late-term abortions?

She has pointed out over and over again she is fine with the "existing laws" on first and second trimester abortions and would not change them.

No such quotes exist, much less repeated quotes "over and over again."

But if you continue to post these outright lies that a pro-choice candidate has "the exact same views" as a pro-life candidate, I'll have to report you to the mods. We don't allow that kind of disruptive garbage on FR

You are the one doing the lying about what Rice has said or not said. My version is fully supported by exact quotres and links. Your version is lacking such. And last time I looked, you were not a mod. It's not your site. Report me all you want. I'm sure I'll still be here posting afterwards.

That statement is fundamentally dishonest, and makes you an un-credible poster.

This is but one interview where she declares her support of a woman’s right to choose.

Where are the others? I can't find them.
