Seriously,

this can't happen unless McCain was trying to clone - EXACTLY, to the last microbe - the Dole campaign of 1996. I can't imagine he's seriously looking at a moderate for Veep.

What are the statistics on abortion among blacks?

I've read that the black population is actually less than it used to be, thanks in part to abortion. Can anyone verify this?

Yes, it’s what I said on the other thread. I used to admire Condi as Secretary of State, before she went over to the dark side and started playing footsie with the Palestinian terrorists and the Kosovo terrorists.

But I never would have accepted her as a V.P. candidate, precisely because she is pro abortion.

She says she is only mildly pro-abortion. What on earth does that mean? That she’d only cut the babies in half, instead of quarters?

if mccain runs on iraq,

he’ll lose because democrats and republicans are tired

of the war.

meanwhile, what can we expect from our leftist media and

their buddies in iraq?

more war.

so, i don’t think mccain can win.

Blacks have not kept up with other populations in the U.S., presumably largely due to abortion.

They have been losing ground to Hispanics and other groups.

When Margaret Sanger started the population control movement, one of her primary interests was exterminating blacks and other races that she considered “inferior.”

She’s pro-choice. That’s enough to no bill her for me.

It has been common knowledge here on FR that Condi is pro-abortion for several years. If one were truly for abortion rights and truly conservative, the only option would be to be honest about the matter and admit that the Federal gub’mint has NO authority in this matter - it is clearly a state’s issue. Of course, she’s not being honest and clearly does not espouse the only sound Constitutional position. She’ll do fine a running mate for the Manchurian candidate.

I hope he picks Rice, Romney, or Powell. That way two of them go down in flames for all time instead of just one. I believe the magnitude of his defeat will leave a lasting odor about his vp candidate.

For me, the vp choice makes no difference. I will not vote for him.

Just think, Condi can do for US citizens what she did for the Israeli citizens.

At the same time, however, 3 out of 4 babies that are born to blacks are illegitimate. That in itself is a crime and irrefutable proof of the moral bankruptcy of the race. There was a time when having a baby out of wedlock carried a stigma. Nowadays, especially among blacks and hispanics it has become almost expected.

I’ll take a pass.

Try positions without influence on domestic policy.

What exactly is that?

Sheesh. Do people here do anything but complain, and find things not to like about Republicans?

Any Republicans?

McCain is in my opinion a disaster for president. I’ve said many times that I would not cast a vote for him.

If I change my mind, there is only one issue that would move me to do what I said I’d never do, and thats the Iraq and Afghan wars. Because, as I have also said several times, the war is my bottom line. If any Dem gave any hint that they had a clue, and wouldn’t abandon everything we’ve achieved to be swept away by the baddies, I would be happy to sit this one out.

But they haven’t a clue, and we can’t afford anyone in the White House who won’t take the war seriously, who would even think about walking away. I don’t think either Dem will do what they’ve promised, they won’t really have a choice realistically speaking, but the mere fact that they would consider it and defend it means we can’t risk putting them in the White House.

I like Rice a lot better than I do McCain. I like just about anyone you can think of better than I do McCain. But if I am forced to vote for him in order to preserve what we’ve accomplished in Iraq, and if his VP can also be trusted in Iraq and Afghanistan, then it won’t matter if I disagree on other issues. The war is the bottom line. If it wasn’t, I’d be happy to let McCain go down to defeat.

I think this forum has gotten locked into a “bash whomever” mode.

Whomever is the one, who is in line, for whatever.

Bash. Bash. Bash.

It’s all anyone does here anymore.
