Hello,

Beautiful area. I spent 2 weeks there at age 12, as my grandmother owned a cabin at Church Camp just outside of town.

Someday, I hope to visit there again.

I work in Prescott (live 35 miles away) but couldn’t be bothered to see McBorg.

Prescott, AZ has a lot going for it ... mostly conservative, reasonable property tax rate, great weather ... higher elevation, not nearly as hot as Phoenix.
Considered it as a possible retirement area ... in competition with the Austin, TX area and the west slope of the Colorado Rockies ... western CO is winning out.

We shall be assimilated.

Complete intellectual bankruptcy on both of those signs...the scary thing is that those people actually think that makes sense. Does that lady not know that State governments do not fund the war in Iraq (the primary source of education funds)? Does that lady not know that Federal education funding has been dramatically increased and those two issues have nothing to do with one another? Pure lunacy.

Prescott was a wonderful city, and still is nice if you can
stand all the Ex Califonies who fled. Home prices way up. What once was a true bastion of conversatism has been liberalized, sorry to say. Barry G. spent lots of time here. There’s a tunnel between the courthouse (shown) and the infamous Whiskey Row ! LOL. Original capital of Arizona. ...oooohh if the walls could talk.

I give that guy credit for making his own sign. It seems he ran out of Red Crayons before he got done though.

I went to college there in the 1980's (ERAU) and went back for my first visit in 20 years a few weeks ago.

The transformation is unbelievable from the influx of granola crunchers. Couldn't even find Rush on the radio. Prescott Valley is now modeled afer "the San Fernando Valley". Didn't even bother going to Phoenix because that place has become a monster, too. Californian's screw up their own state so bad, even they can't stand it and they got to get out and go screw up the neighboring states.

I am going on holiday there in a few weeks. I have always loved Prescott. I always say the ex-Calis ruined my chance of living there unless I become really rich.
