Arresting 200 individuals to investigate the marital status of one 16 year old girl, seem like it might just be a little overkill, don’t ya think?

Just asking -- is "taken into custody for questioning" the same as an arrest, or having an arrest record? They are trying to find the girl complainant, who is doubtless in fear for her life, and protect the children and possibly other wives taken into underage, incestuous or coerced plural marriages.

It's not like they could just send one social services caseworker to the compound and expect her to straighten it all out.

It was my understanding that they were arrested, but it appears they may have been put up at a local church.

The sixteen year old in question is nowhere to be found, unless they found her this morning.

There is always the possibility that this was a prank I guess. It does seem strange that they authorities would be caught not knowing where she was, and still raiding the farm.

I’m not saying this to damn them further at this point. It’s just an interesting development. The girl could have met with foul play too, so I don’t want to take advantage of this factoid until things flesh out more.
