I was half listening to Rush while he told the story and my ears pricked up when he said she was asked to pay a $100 fee. I never heard of such a thing. If she came in as an emergency, the hospital has to take her and at least stabelize her (I think a private hospital does retain the right to send her to a public hospital once stabilized, but someone can correct me on that).
