Dear Former Wrestler and Governor Ventura,
Awed as I am by your knowledge of physics I was wondering if you could help my daughter and explain to her the difference between mass and weight since you seem to have plenty of both.

I have the feeling, especially being from Minnesota, or even Michigan, with the large Islamic population, it is easier to conceive of seeing evil in your own government, than a radical religion that is committing terrorists acts around the world. One you can sound off about, and not feel all the threatened by, where as the latter, is more like a real bogey man that you don't feel safe or able to combat. Really, I think the folks that believe this stuff, do, because it's easier than being terrified of something they have absolutely no control over, and also the not knowing what is to come if they believe terrorists did this. It makes them feel more vulnerable if it is from outside the country.
Doesn't really make sense to people who don't buy into it, but to them, it's easier.

All objects fall to Earth at the same speed, regardless of size. As demonstrated by Galileo.

I live in this godawful state, however I REFUSE to consider myself to be a Minnesooootan. Still flying the Texas flag. And what am I doing up here? Doing the work that Minnesotans WILL NOT DO. Yes, there are many up here who believe that 911 was an inside job by the eeeevilll BushCheneyRove. And some of these claim to be engineers! Is there a moonbat section that is part of the Minnesota PE exam?

Is it just me or does everybody making tis claim seem to be on the downside of their career?
Also, why is it I never hear a structural engineer making this claim?

Sorry, Minnesota, I dont mean to unsult you, but it seems that you elect so many nuts- and now Al Franken. You deserve better representation.
Oh, no, we haven't elected Fathead Al, yet! We still could skate by on that one... as for Jesse. I don't know what happened there. Even I fell for his weird Jedi Mind Trick (tm). I think THAT conspiracy should be checked out.

"
And he expected what? The building to fall at faster than gravity?" Didn't you get the memo? The towers were brought down by enormous superconducting magnets in the basement. The entire installation was cleverly disguised as a subway station, fooled people for decades.

BTW, many here are trying to justify why the towers would fall at free-fall speeds. The mistake here is forgetting that these moonbats lie. I'm sure Jesse probably didn't bother to watch the films with a stopwatch, but both towers take more than 15 seconds to fall. If they had been demoed, they actually would have fallen at pretty much free-fall.
And the steel didn't melt. It didn't have to in order to structurally fail. It weaken as it gets hotter and wasn't designed to see the kind of damage or heat that all that jet fuel caused. And once the supports failed on one floor, all that weight slammed down on the floor below with a force way beyond any reasonable design parameters for a building.
Why hadn't we ever seen this kind of event before? Well this type of building hasn't been around all that long, and no one had ever gotten around to adding that much highly flammable fuel to the tons of flammable (desks, chairs files full of papers) already there. Lets just hope we never get to see this again.

He probably means the floors. Each floor was a ‘pancake’.

"How could those buildings fall at the speed of gravity ....?" All objects fall to Earth at the same speed, regardless of size. As demonstrated by Galileo. True, but pancaking buildings don't and ones subjected to demolition do. The key problem with his argument is that these buildings didn't fall at free-fall. The thing is that once it started, the bolts holding the thing together did little to impede the momentum of the huge amount of mass impact each subsequent floor. Still, it was slowed, and would not have been in a controlled demolition.

Jesse Ventura, right up there with those other noted demolition experts, Willie Nelson and Rosie.
To: conservativefromGa
I hear he’s thinking of running for Senator. This position could seriously cut into Stuart Smalley’s moonbat vote.

I hear Liddy talk about how brilliant Navy Seals are, but then I see something like this and I have to scratch my head. You know that brings up another thing, If Gordon is the intellectual giant he purports to be why couldn't he rob a hotel suite with the resources of the entire federal government at his disposal? I guess it's just like Jessie says “None of it makes any sense”.

"How could those buildings fall at the speed of gravity - if you put a stopwatch on them both of those World Trade Center buildings were on the ground in ten seconds - how can that be?" asked Ventura. "Never before in the annals of history has a fire caused a steel structure building to fall to the ground like these two did." First of all how fast should a building collapse Jesse. As far as you being a "Brain trust of knowledge" (seeing how you screwed up Minnasota so bad) I wouldn't be using your Wikipedia like mind for any bashton of knowledge. The floors where not gurdered, they were trusses. When 70,000 gallons a fuel starts burning, the steel becomes weak. add on an additional 50-70 tons of jet parts suddenly thrown on the floors, they collapse. WTC was on fire due to the debrees of the other 2 buildings. This is what it looked like after the 1st 2 WTC's collapsed
Ventura said he was convinced the collapses of the towers and WTC Building 7 were too similar to the controlled demolition of Las Vegas hotels. Ventura has experience with explosives from Basic Underwater Demolition SEAL training and believes unequivocally the buildings were deliberately imploded.
WTC was on fire due to the debrees of the other 2 buildings. This is what it looked like after the 1st 2 WTC's collapsed
"I was on the site within two weeks after it happened and I saw none of these pancakes - wouldn't they all be piled up in a huge mass on the ground and yet everything was blown into dust - when you look at it from that aspect none of it makes any sense," Ventura told the Alex Jones Show.
Each pile was over 40 feet high. Hardly a pancake....like your head
