No offense, but ethnic Serbs who stay in Kosovo are as crazy as whites who stay in Zimbabwe.
Get out. Encourage Kosovo to melt down. Come back when the climate is better for Christians.

That would be the logical thing to do for the average person. And Serbs have been leaving Kosovo for the last 50 years for that reason.

But those priests and nuns in the monasteries in Kosovo aren't going anywhere. They feel if evil runs the world, then it is their job to stand up for good -- even if it kills them. To stay in their homes, trust God, and what happens, happens. There are many ordinary Serbs who feel as they do.

I'll never forget a message one poster left on my blog: "Kosovo's fields have been watered with the blood of Serb Christians for centuries. Why should I think that I am any different than any who came before me standing to witness for Christ? If God decides that the fields need more blood to make them fertile, here I am and here I will stay so He will know where to find me, standing for Him". Frankly, it brought tears to my eyes.
