Pretty interesting. I happen to think this was the US scenario but I wonder if they have the b____ to implement it.
Firstly, I think Serbia has been pretty successful in telling the world what really went on in Kosovo and I think their may be outrage if it happened.

Since I work in the oil industry, strange things have been happening. Firstly, 148 BP employees in Russia, are in fear of being deported and TNK may be broken up on tax evasion charges. To me that is an indication that the Russians are tired of the lap dog roll of the UK and want to show them that they can kick them out of Russia whenever they wish if they dont play by their game. Secondly, Total is a big player in Shtokman, 122 tcf of gas in the Barents Sea and a 25% interest. They are not going to provoke Russia, there is too much at risk.

Currently, Russia supplies 25% of the gas to europe. When Bush wanted Georgia and the Ukraine on the fast track to NATO membership, who was against it. Germany, and France.

I think Europe is looking at US actions disguised in NATO and thinking maybe it is a little too much and wont go along with it.
