You read that right. John Armor, Macon County Author and Attorney, has offered to bring Carl Mumpower of Asheville, and Spence Campbell of Hendersonville, along with himself, directly to your desk to answer questions "live" for you, to broadcast on the radio or TV, or print in newspapers or magazines. All three candidates for the Republican nomination for Congress in the 11th District will be available to you at any time of day or night which suits your convenience.
Yes, this is April Fools Day. No, this is not a joke.
There have been four televised debates involving these three candidates. Mr. Armor's computer gurus have posted every minute of every debate on the Internet. Now, his volunteers are cataloging every question. Shortly, we will send to all newspeople on our e-mail list, a list of the real questions asked by real citizens, and at what time, in what link, those questions were answered by the candidates.
"I am a firm believer in comparison shopping," said Mr. Armor. "There is no better way for citizens to judge among competing candidates for office than to hear them respond, live and without scripts, to questions from citizens."
Mr. Armor noted that due to the excellent people and facilities of URTV in Asheville some thousands of people have seen some or all of these debates. The three debates with live audiences did, usually, fill the halls. But that was only a few hundred people. Making all of the debates available to all news media should give tens of thousands of citizens the opportunity to compare the candidates for themselves.

Good Luck, Congressman!
IIRC Free Republic was really slow the night when you said you had rocks in your head. Actually it would be a sign of good sense to not post something on a night like that.
Congressman Billybob, this is innovative and an excellent campaign idea. Hope to hear more about how it all turned out.
Thanks for posting this MitchellC.
