How is this thing going to end? (Hillary v. Obama)
Primetime Politics ^ | April 3, 2008 | Kristen Powers, Susan Page

Hillary Clinton must be channeling Winston Churchill. How often does she tell herself - paraphrasing the great leader - to never, never, never give up?

One gets the feeling she is waiting patiently in hopes that Barack Obama will have a "macaca" moment.

This isn't unreasonable.

For most of '06, Virginia Sen. George Allen was heading to re-election and deemed a potential leading GOP '08 presidential contender. Then his campaign was brought down by a young volunteer with a minicam and YouTube, floundering over Allen's use of the word "macaca" (monkey) to refer to an American of Indian descent.

hopes that Barack Obama will have a "macaca" moment

If "G*d d*mn America" doesn't qualify, then nothing will.

Yes, I agree. Let us compare for a moment the phrase “macaca” with “G*d d*mn America.” Which, objectively, would you say would end a political career?

Bzzzzzz

Wrong in the Peoples Republic USA.

They won’t have George Allen moments, because neither Hillary nor Obama will have a Larry Sabato endlessly ranting about how “macaca” was a slur, and a Washington Post running multiple articles about it EVERY SINGLE DAY during the campaign.

I still say Sabato had some deep personal vendetta against Allen from their days together at the University of Virginia, and finally got his shot at payback. What do you think Corin?

Exactly, 99.9% of "macaca" was a manufactured witch hunt. From the initial editing of the video (documented) to the editing of the wikipedia definition (documented) to the endless articles in The Washington Post that mentioned "macaca" in every single article following that (I'd be willing to bet that between August 15 and Election Day, 2006 you wouldn't find an article in the Post about Geroge Allen that didn't mention "macaca.").

What Hillary and Barack (and their supporters) have said is far worse than anything George Allen ever said, did or what was even manufactured about what he said and did.

But you'll never hear that from the MSM.

And yeah, Larry Sabotage had a major man crush (if you get muh drift) on Allen or any conservative/Republican...

"... waiting patiently in hopes that Barack Obama will have a "macaca" moment ..."

Or worse.
Cue up the small-plane, Fort-Marcy-Park, food-taster macros.

I have to hand it to Obama, he handled the Wright thing effectively. Of course, it didn’t hurt that he had the media 100% on his side and that he has a huge gaggle of brainwashed acolytes. Still, he could have stumbled, and he didn’t. He deftly lied and the media deftly covered for him. They make a effective team.

booby prize maybe. :) Seriously, she is not going to win. There is no way anymore that this woman can be taken seriously (although we never did take her seriously) but...Obama has this nomination and she better not try to steal it from him. He has won everything fair and square unlike her.

I think it comes down to Obama on one end of the ice, Hillary on the other.
They skate to center ice and drop the gloves and let the haymakers fly!

Linesman pull Hillary off after a 3 minute, solid beating of Obama.

Do not count Hillary gone too soon. I think something big will come down the pike - Hillary will make something happen but I don’t believe she is just going to go away. This has been her goal for too long and she doesn’t seem like the type to not get what she wants AT ANY COST1 I still have my money on Hillary - she’ll steal it if she has to....
