DIAMOND BAR, California (AP) -- In what some may consider an unexpected move, rap artist "Snoop Dogg" has reportedly converted to Mormonism after nearly a year of study with the fast-growing, Utah-based faith.

Snoop Dogg says he "can't get enough of the Book of Mormon."

Well, he’s probably better off as a Mormon than as a gangsta rapper. Probably.

j/k

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw his reality show. My kids were watching it and wanted me to see it. Snoop is not a bad role model for the younger generation. His wife, (married, that’s rare!) and kids and home life are very important to him. He lives in a modest home...considering his contemporaries....and is usually hanging in a small shed out back....and he loves the Stillers!!!!!

“I was hooked from the start,” Snoop Dogg said. “We talked about the purpose of life, played Mousetrap, and ate brownies. The kids thought it was off the hook, for real.”

Must have been some good brownies.
