Advertisement appeared in Quien magazine, in Mexico City, and billboards.
Last I saw Dane admitted to being ‘male’. Yes, difficult to believe.
No way!
Just posted a scathing comment on the V&S/Absolut website.
Absolut and all other V&S products added to my DO NOT BUY list.
I know some of the distributors around here. I will do what I can to get them to stop buying the stuff.
What’s wrong with you, youd have to be a Absolut drunk lazy wetback to believe that that ever has a chance of happening.. and what better way to become one than to drink overpriced vodka all day?
Thanks for showing us what side you’re on, Mr. DNC Talking Points.
Good.
I am getting very, very tired of just about anyone/anywhere feeling it is perfectly acceptable to piss on the United States whenever they feel like it, especially since there appear to be no negative consequences for doing so. It's way past time to start biting back (and leaving teeth marks).
WOW!!
Major response in comments to this ad from Absolut at their website. No way can they ignore this much negativity. Most of the comments made at their site were direct and to the point: “Wrong way to go, amigos! We will no longer be buying your products.”
>>>JMO, a brilliant marketing strategy on Absolut’s part.<<<
No it isn’t. I found this list on http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2008/04/absolut-ly-outrageous-ad-in-mexico-city.html
The list is created by the readers, not the website. Looking in on most of the links indicates Absolut is getting their corporate butt kicked up around their ears.

So finally you admit it was bad marketing then? Good for you! You see, sometimes simple common sense can tell you if something is threatening or not! Just for you peace of mind, it gives me no pleasure to think about having to harm another person, nor would I actually risk getting ejected from my favorite gun range for your sake. The example was merely to serve a point about a threatening marketing message.
Just pick a free trade thread, any free trade, and ping me to it. If Customs enforcement (an essential governmental function) is a “subsidy,” then Border enforcement (another essential governmental function) is also. Why don’t we just shut down ICE if it’s costing us so much money?
Thanks. Outback does a very tasty foo-foo chick drink involving pear vodka and I need to pick up a bottle to try making it at home. It WON'T be Absolut.
bttt! (though I haven't had any alcohol for.....ever; I'll make sure not to if/when I stop drinking coffee : )
Who would have thought a vodka ad would be threatening to people and a Republic.
Absolut is probably loving the publicity this ad bouhgt for practically nothing.
ok that made me laugh
