Quinnipiac released a new poll comfirming what have known for a while, the deadly 'Wright effect' that MSM is desperately trying to gloss over.

OH: Clinton: 48 McCain: 39

Obama: 43 McCain: 42

PA: Clinton: 48 McCain: 40

Obama: 43 McCain: 39

FL: Clinton: 44 McCain: 42

Obama: 37 McCain: 46

The bi...ch is a stronger candidate in matchups with McCain. Key findings: White democrats are defecting if Obama is the nominee. Only an average of 60+% of democrats will vote for Obama if he is the nominee.

"Roughly one in five Democrats in the three states say they will vote for McCain against Obama, but less than 10 percent say they would vote for McCain over Clinton. Among white Democrats, 23 percent defect to McCain in a matchup with Obama, but only 11 percent defect when Clinton is the Democratic candidate." Pennsylvania

Talked to a friend that calculated his family personal expenses a few weeks ago. +13.5% in the last year — mainly food and gas. It’s not so hidden inflation anymore.

You have a point. But on the other hand, the coaltion of the loser party is much much more fragile than GOP. The loser party consists of a variety of interest group, ethnic minority groups such as labour, women, blacks, hispanics, Asians... There’s far deeper conflict among those groups than the groups within GOP. Hispanic and Asian Americans simply do not like black candidates, and they will not vote for Obama, period.

Don’t forget in the past, Reagan democrats abandoned the loser party in droves.

Every military veteran in the U.S. and their families and friends will vote for McCain and that’s a lot of votes.

It always has. But it's a coalition of segments united in their rabid hatred of the GOP. So if Obama is nominated I can still see them uniting behind him more than I can see them flocking to McCain. If Clinton snags the nomination, however, all bets are off. I can see blacks avoiding the polls in droves.

Proves Rush Bimbo is a complete idiot, OR as I suspect, he would rather see Hillary! (the most evil candidate in the History of our Nation) elected just to punish McCain. IOW: takes a tantrum like a two year old.

Or maybe it just goes to show that McCain is just a damned democrat.

No, we won't. A lot of us are going to go third party for the Presidential election and try to hold the line with a GOP legislature. The Presidency is most likely lost this time around.

My liberal Dem son will not vote for Barak. His preferences, in order:

1. Hillary (because she’s tough)
2. McCain (because he’s tough though a Repub)
3. Barak (because he’s unknown, scary, and a wus)

I think a lot of Dems are thinking this way.

The third possibility is that people are vastly overestimating Rush’s influence, considering how the Republican nomination turned out even WITH independents voting for Obama instead.
