Inspector-in-Charge of the New York Office of the United States
Postal Inspection Service (”USPIS”), BRIAN G. PARR, the Special
Agent-in-Charge of the New York Office of the United States
Secret Service (”USSS”), and MARK J. MERSHON, the Assistant
Director-in-Charge of the New York Office of the Federal Bureau
of Investigation (”FBI”), announced the arrest late Friday of
former New York-Presbyterian Hospital employee DWIGHT McPHERSON
for his participation in a scheme to steal the identities of more
than 40,000 people, and then sell those stolen identities to
individuals seeking to commit fraud. According to the Complaint
filed in Manhattan federal court:”

“Philadelphia Man Sentenced to 120 Months in Federal
Prison for Robbing 13 Pharmacies of Drugs”

PRESS RELEASE SNIPPET: “CAMDEN – A Philadelphia man was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison today for robbing thirteen pharmacies in New Jersey and Philadelphia of controlled substances such as Oxycontin, Oxycodone, Endocet and Xanax, U.S. Attorneys Christopher J. Christie and Patrick L. Meehan announced.

U.S. District Judge Robert B. Kugler also ordered Jamil Johnson, 27, of Philadelphia, to pay $2,100 in restitution and to serve 5 years of supervised release. Johnson has been detained without bail since his arrest on Oct. 21, 2006.”

PRESS RELEASE SNIPPET: “In the District of New Jersey, Johnson and his co-defendants, Kurtis Brown, 42, of Waterford, and Shaaheen Muhammad, 24, a.k.a. “Abdul Aleem Muhammad,” of Somerdale, were originally indicted on Jan. 9, 2007. The Indictment describes a scheme in which the defendants conspired with each other to rob pharmacies of controlled substances for the purpose of selling the drugs for profit.”
