“Next terror attack ‘a matter of time’”
By TOVAH LAZAROFF

ARTICLE SNIPPET: “Alexander Galiah, who lost his wife in a terrorist attack at the Rimonim junction six years ago, told The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday he knows from personal experience what it means to ease security restrictions for the Palestinians.

Etty Galiah, 48, was shot to death on November 18, 2002 by a Palestinian terrorist who plugged nine bullets into her car as she drove past that junction, near the Palestinian village of Taiba. The roadblock was unmanned as a gesture to the Palestinians.

So Galiah, who never remarried, was concerned to hear on Monday that the roadblock, which had been in use since his wife’s murder, had been dismantled by the army as part of a promise by Israel to US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

“It’s worrisome,” said Galiah.

The father of seven has lived in the Orthodox Kochav Hashahar settlement for 28 years.”

Calm Before The Storm?

War On Terror: Shockingly, the CIA warns that America is wide open to another 9/11-style terrorist attack from the Afghan-Pakistani border. Is this August 2001 all over again?

n a rare public interview, CIA Director Michael Hayden said al-Qaida’s central command is training a more cunning generation of terrorists in the badlands of northern Pakistan.
They “look Western,” he said, and “wouldn’t attract your attention if they were going through the customs line at (Washington) Dulles (International Airport) with you when you’re coming back from overseas.”

These new recruits, Hayden told NBC’s “Meet the Press,” “would be able to come into this country without attracting the kind of attention that others might.”

In other words, they wouldn’t fit the typical Middle Eastern profile, and their non-Arabic surnames wouldn’t likely show up in any terror watch list. In fact, they might not even need visas if they enter from Europe.

Forget the image of Mohamed Atta and the other 9/11 hijackers. The next al-Qaida-trained terror cell could feature blue-eyed blonds and even women.

Hayden’s warning dovetails with German intelligence. Authorities there reveal that terrorist suspects under surveillance include several Germans who have converted to Islam and recently trained at al-Qaida camps in Pakistan.

At the same time, U.S. officials note al-Qaida’s use of women to carry out suicide attacks in Iraq is an alarming new twist. Women are checked less often by security because of Muslim sensitivities.
