Do they have any witnesses of the event at the school? The injuries seem pretty serious and there surely would be bruises corresponding with hitting the stairs a number of times.
And they don’t report it for 21 days?
Are we sure this isn’t a coverup of child abuse? I’m not accusing anyone of anything but this story seems odd to me.
The story does seem a little weird.
Bullying is a real problem tho, and it’s sometimes difficult to actually do anything about as bullies quickly learn to do it away from adults. I don’t know how well things are monitored at the school in question, but it’s likely that if he was bullied teachers didn’t observe it. And these days it’s difficult to do anything about something if it’s a he said/she said situation. Unfortunately bullies have rights too.
