Why was there never a McCain truth file at the time when it might have done some good?

Because McCain, so we were told, had no chance. His campaign was broke, imploding, etc etc etc. He was lagging behind badly. Then it was as if the party told all of them to narrow the field, which they did. And McCain started winning. Mainly because of an operation chaos of the other side. I for one, never foresaw him as a nominee.

“Why was there never a McCain truth file at the time when it might have done some good?”

Because McCain was doing so poorly, no one thought he was a threat. He simply rose to the top like spoiled milk.
