The Rev. Jerry Falwell said late Thursday he did not mean to blame feminists, gays or lesbians for bringing on the terror attacks in New York and Washington this week, in remarks on a television program earlier in the day...

Four things come to mind:
1.) The Rev. Jeremiah Wright should apologize for his 9/11 comments about America's chickens coming home to roost on 9/11.
2.) Further, people need to start asking Obama and/or the Obama campaign (however long it takes) whether Rev. Jeremiah Wright should apologize for his 9/11 comments like Jerry Falwell did.
3.) They could/should also ask Obama if he thinks that the Rev. Wright should apologize for his 9/11 rant.
4.) People should ask the Rev. Jeremiah Wright if he will apologize for his 9/11 rant.
Wright should apologize, but of course, won’t. After all, apologizing is considered “acting white”.

What say you to points 1-4 and the rest above?
Liberals don’t apologize, they just force conservatives to.
Except the Falwell was talking about real sin and real sinners.
Wright is a racist and he embraces the sins Falwell was condemning. A twofer.
There is no reason why Rev. Wright can’t have the decency to apologize for his 9/11 rant.
There is no reason why Obama can’t be asked over and over if he thinks that Rev. Wright should apologize for his 9/11 rant, etc, etc.
It is time to ram home points 1-4 on talk radio - over and over if necessary.
You should not apologize for voicing your deeply-held beliefs, and it is tyrannical to force apologies from people who do not regret what they have said.
It's obvious that Wright (and Obama) believe every word.
What's the point of apologizing?
He should, but he won't. And if he did I doubt that his apology would be any more sincere than Falwell's was.

What's the point of apologizing?
Do not hold your “typically white” breath.
I never said that Jeremiah Wright should be forced to do anything.
But, if people keep asking Obama - over and over if necessary - if he thinks that Rev. Wright should apologize for his 9/11 rant, that will open up a huge political can of worms that Obama does not want opened.
Notice how the CNN article focuses as little space as possible to apology itself. About 80% of the article is dedicated to what Falwell was apologizing for. The over-emphasis on his gay bashing comments is an attempt to: 1) make the apology seem insincere; 2) Cast Falwell in the worst possible light. Although this might be borderline, given the context of the apology, I think an objective story might have mentioned the Wright episode as well.
But, if Falwell can do it, Wright can do it.
And don’t buy the equivalence argument — “what about ‘Falwell’ or ‘Robertson’?”
They were not the pastors of any Republican Presidential candidate . . . period.
Would you believe Wright if he did?
BTW, I never said that Obama should apologize on behalf of Wright.
Obama, though, can be asked - over and over if necessary - if he thinks his pastor should apologize for his 9/11 rant, in a yes or no fashion.
Oh, I don’t... at all.
McCain didn’t go to their churches fo 20 years like Obama went to Rev. Wright’s.
McCain didn’t have Falwell or Robertson baptize his children, etc, etc, etc.
What does that have to do with asking Obama over and over till he answers yes or no if he thinks Rev. Wright should apologize for his 9/11 rant?
BTW, do you think that that Wright should be asked to apologize?
Those are the question that need to be asked.
I believe people tend to believe what they say, and say what they mean. I don't care if Wright is asked to apologize, and I don't care if he does apologize because I think he truly meant for God to damn America and I have no faith that his apology for saying that will be in any way sincere. His apology will not make me think any more highly of him or convince me that suddenly he loves this country. His apology would, to me, be meaningless.
Likewise the fact that Falwell apologized holds no weight with me for the same reason.
